Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Guests consistently praise the Halston Carlisle's spacious and well-decorated rooms, some mentioning suites with modern kitchens. The hotel's central location provides easy access to Carlisle's attractions like the Cathedral and Castle, and it's conveniently near the train station. A welcome package including crumpets is a much-appreciated touch; however, a few guests found the food portions in the restaurant to be on the smaller side. Parking is made easy with a validated discount at the Halston Car Park behind the hotel.

Our 1 bedroom apartment was GORGEOUS. It was very spacious and the bed comfy. I particularly appreciated the cleanliness of the apartment. Every surface shone.
The heating wasn't on when we went in, and it took a while to warm up, unfortunately. I also noticed the parking was quite limited around the premises.

My room was clean, and I liked the convenient location near to pubs.
The townhouse room was not good at all. It smelled strongly of stale smoke. I think someone smoked in there before. I had to wear clothes that smelled of smoke when I met my client the next day.

the townhouse apartment i got wasn't great. there was a lot of walking involved to reach the room, and it felt pretty far from the main building! also, headroom was limited since the room was in the eaves. not the space i expected, especially compared to the apartments in the main hotel.
